Tips on How To Measure

For bust measurement

With a measuring tape, measure around your back, under the arms, and across the fullest part of the bust. The measuring tape should be flat against the figure, straight across the back, and not too tight.

or

Place the measuring tape at the front of your chest, at the widest point. Going under the arms, wrap the measuring tape around your back making sure the measuring tape is flat against the body, and not too tight.

Measuring the waist

Measure around the natural waistline, the smallest part of the waist with the measuring tape flat against the body, and not too tight.

Measuring the hips

Standing with your feet together, measure around the fullest part of the hips, approximately 21-23 cm down from your waist, keeping the measuring tape flat against the figure and not too tight. The fullest part of the hip may be higher or lower depending on the individual figure.

Measuring Sleeve Length

There are a few different ways to measure sleeve length depending on the type of garment. For measuring dress, shirt, blouse, and casual clothing sleeve length, please see the illustrated female drawn form. With the hand on the hip, and elbow to the side, measure from the end of the shoulder, continue to the elbow point, and onto the wrist bone. Make sure the measuring tape stays flat against the arm and doesn’t twist. The arm is measured bent to allow for extra ease.
