Tips on How To Measure
Collar
With a measuring tape, measure around the base of the neck, where the collar generally sits. Do not pull the measuring tape tight.
Chest
Place the measuring tape in the centre of the chest at the widest point, which is usually right above the nipples. Wrap the measuring tape around the back, going under the armpits and making sure the measuring tape stays horizontal and is not twisted. Don’t pull the measuring tape too tight.
Sleeve Length
With the arm bent at a right angle to the body, measure from the end of the shoulder through to the elbow and onto the wrist bone. The elbow is bent to allow for extra ease.
There are a few ways of measuring the sleeve length of a garment. The most used at Order Materia is the one illustrated where the arm is raised and bent at a right angle to the body. If our garments need a different measure we will state that different measurement in the garment sizing description.
